Most people take for granted the simple, everyday services that utilities provide. Water, gas, electricity, internet and phone services are such common elements to our lives that it can be easy to forget all the hard work, diligence and maintenance that goes on behind the scenes, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, to keep these facilities running.

Planet Underground TV has already filmed and produced many episodes showing these dedicated utility excavating and locator crews in action, as they build, maintain and protect these crucial facilities. Episode 18, however, focuses on the efforts of the underground utility industry to share their knowledge, best practices and messages of safe excavating, not only to the public at large, but with each other as well.
